Singer & Songwriter Candice answers the question: What kind of artists do I need for the different parts of my wedding?
“You hire a solo artist just for your ceremony that might be really suitable, because you know it requires them. Part of the day, people are arriving: it’s a gentle atmosphere which is going to be one voice and maybe one instrument to set the mood. Whereas when you’re moving into the reception or after dinner and you’re wanting to amp it up a little bit, it’s going to be hard to expect that solo artist to carry a party vibe on their own kind of thing. I guess you want to be thinking like a band for the “up” part of the night. Things like drums and bass they add a lot a lot to the sound that you just can’t get from just one, maybe two musicians.”
