Event Manager Donika Mehmet answers the question: How do you make your customers feel special?
“Whether it’s weddings or corporate, I think everyone should have the same treatment. It’s a personal event for anyone: it’s an important event in anyone’s life. Hans and Ian have brought us into a workplace environment that’s very family-orientated. All of my colleagues feel like my siblings or my cousins. Hans and Ian are like my fathers, so it’s like welcoming people into our home when we’re walking people around and giving them a tour. It’s not just a cold-style: “here’s this room, here’s that room.” We like to give them a story and make them feel that warmth and love, and give them a memory rather than just showing them an empty space that we may hold an event in every now and then. There’s more to it than that. Hans and Ian want that to shine through every event, whether it’s a wedding, or a birthday, or a christening, or a gala dinner, or a conference.
It’s important to me that all of our staff show that throughout: even phone conversations and when they are meeting with our guests sit, to them down have a coffee have a meal with them and just make them feel special. It’s very rare that you can get that anywhere else, and we want to shine out; we want to be different.”
